Can you bring your own caterer?

Yes — and there is no approved-supplier list to work around, which is less common than it should be.

Plenty of London venues make their money on catering and price the room accordingly. We do not do catering at all, so you bring whoever you like, or cook yourself.

What the kitchen actually is

Domestic, not commercial. That distinction matters to a caterer, so be straight with them about it:

  • Gas hobs and an oven
  • A 1.6m by 1m island that works as a serving counter or a demonstration bench
  • A dishwasher
  • Cutting boards and serving plates
  • Glasses, plates, bowls and cutlery for up to 24

Most caterers working in East London are used to this. A team doing hot food for 30 will usually arrive with their own equipment and use the space for plating and service rather than cooking from scratch.

If you are cooking yourselves

The island is the reason people run cooking classes here — it faces into the room, so a demonstration works without everyone crowding a domestic worktop. Supper clubs use the same setup.

What we ask

Take rubbish and recycling out to the street-accessible bin store at the end — there are two bins, one for each, and the key fob opens the store. If you have not got time to empty the dishwasher, hand-wash and put things back where you found them.

That is genuinely the whole list. There is no corkage, no minimum spend, and nobody from the venue standing over your caterer.
